Torrance Real Estate Market Report for December

Average Home Price in Torrance at $1,101,010

December and January are usually the slowest month of the year in terms of home sales and December 2024 was no exception although it was still a very busy month.  There were 63 homes that sold during the month compared with 81 a month earlier.

The average “list” price of the homes that sold  was $1,057,373 with the average sold price at $1,057,373 which was a slight drop from $1,101,010 in November.

The average dollar per square foot for the homes that sold was $747 which was well up from November.  Days on market, or DOM, was a brief 29 before selling.

The highest price of the month was just under $2.0M and was located in west Torrance at 5522 Konya Drive.

The average asking price of the homes that sold  was $1,094,133 with the average sales price at $1,101,010 which was slightly higher than $1,094,105 in October.

The average dollar per square foot for the homes that sold was $685 which was a significant decrease from $738 in October.  Days on market, or DOM, was a brief 30 before selling.

100 Homes Sell in Torrance During May 2024

Average Home Price in Torrance at $1,106,.942

May was the second straight month that the number of homes that sold reached triple digits.  Prior to April it had been a long time since we had seen 100 homes or more sell in a month and now it’s been two in a row.

Torrance home prices Increase from April

The average “list” price of the homes that sold  was $1,059,757 with the average sold price at an impressive $1,106,942.  This was well above the April average price of $1,032,213 but a bit below the March price of $1,132,878.  

 

Golden Hills Homes Redondo Beach - Armour Lane

The average dollar per square foot for the homes that sold in May was $740 compared with $696 in April.   Homes that sold averaged a very short 27 days on market before going into escrow which was well below the DOM averages in most of the South Bay.

What a month it was for home sales and prices in Torrance

100 Homes Sell in Torrance During April 2024

Average Home Price in Torrance at $1,032,213

April was a pretty huge month for home sales in Torrance with 100 homes closing escrow during the month.  That was the highest number we’ve seen in some time.  

The real estate market in Torrance was extremely strong in terms of the number of homes that sold and quite impressive in terms of the prices that they sold for.

The Torrance real estate market jumped up considerably with 100 homes selling during April compared with 89 in March, 69  in February and a very slow January with only 48 sold homes.

The average “asking” price  was $1,003,938 with the average sold price at an impressive $1,032,213 which was down from March’s average of $1,132,878 but up from February and January

Torrance Real Estate Market is Alive And Very Well in March

March 2024 a Big Month or Home sales and Home Prices in Torrance

What a month it was for home sales and home prices in the South Bay city of Torrance.  Any talk of a slow market due to high interest rates was most definitely overblown….at least for now.

The real estate market in Torrance was strong in terms of both the number of homes that sold and the prices that they sold for…..that’s for sure.

The real estate market jumped up considerably with 89 home on market sales during March.  Compare that to 69 sold homes in February and a very slow January with only  48 sold homes.

The prices that the homes sold for were equally impressive.

The average “asking” price  was $1,104,915 with the average sold price at an impressive $1,132,878 compared to $993,758 in February and $1,012,480 in January.

The average dollar per square foot for the homes that sold in March was $749 which was a significant jump from $692 in February.   Homes that sold averaged a very short 21 days on market before going into escrow.  That was quite a bit shorter than some neighboring cities.

69 Home Sales in Torrance During February 2024

The real estate market in Torrance California was a bit busier in February with 69 which was a nice increase from  the 48 homes that sold in January.

The average list price was $959,384 with the average sold price at $993,758 which was down fromt average sale price of $1,012,480 in January but up from December’s average at $918,680.

The average dollar per square foot for the homes that sold in was $692 and homes averaged 29 days on market (DOM) before going into escrow.
