Torrance Home Sales and Property Prices for November

It was another banner month for home sales and property prices with a 104 homes selling in Torrance CA during November. Thats definitely not a holiday slow down! The median “listing” price for the homes that sold was $859,500 with a median sales prices of $876,500 indicating that this is one of the hottest markets in the South Bay and most definitely still a very favorable “sellers market”.

The average price per foot was $567 and the average days on market before selling was an extremely short 17….with the median days on market before going into escrow only 9!

September Top Sale of the Month in Torrance Was in Southwood

The highest priced closed home sale in Torrance during the month of September was located at 5531 Laurette which closed escrow at $1,885,000.  It was located in the neighborhood of Southwood which is the area between West Torrance and South Torrance. Usually the highest priced sales are either in South Torrance or the ocean view homes in the  Hollywood Riviera so this was a bit unusual. The home was a nicely remodeled 5 bedroom 5 bath single family home with a little over 4,000 square feet. What made it more special was the massive (for South Bay standards) 16,000+ foot lot that backed up to Wilderness Park. Much of that was hillside but it was still massive compared with the usual 5,000 foot +/- lots in Torrance.  View all of the homes that sold in Torrance during September 2020

Torrance Real Estate Market Update – August Home Sales and Property Prices

Torrance real estate saw a big month in August with 122 on market home sales which set a several year record.  Not only was the number of sales impressive but the prices were as well.  The median “list” price was $825,000 with the median “sold” price at $815,000 meaning that homes sold at almost full price most of the time indicating a very strong “seller’s” market. The average price per foot was $555 and the average days on market was 25 with a median days on market of only 9….incredible.  The big sale of the month was a beautiful single family home on a very large lot in the Seaside Ranchos area of South Torrance at 5404 Reese Road which closed at $2,350,000.
